I need your help decorating my living room!

I can't believe that it's been over 2 weeks since I posted anything.  I started a few posts, but never managed to finish anything.

I'll catch up to my life eventually.....

In the meantime, I was wondering, if I could ask a favor of you:

My living room is sparsely decorated.  I admire people, who can actually select art for their living room and make it look good.  Clearly, that's not me.

But I have not given up on at least making my living room look halfway decent.

Many years ago, my then-husband and I decided that we would decorate the walls with pictures that we had taken on vacations and such.  At the time, we selected some of our favorites and enlarged them to 11"x14", because that was all we could afford.

Clearly, times have changed.  Nowadays, you can get a poster for what an 11"x14" cost years ago.  Also, many of the original pictures were taken by my then-husband, and - considering that we've been divorced for over 10 years - it's probably time to give him those pics - and redecorate.

After all, the kids and I have managed to make a few vacation memories of our own in the meantime.

So, I've enlarged a few of my favorites and I need some input on what else I should enlarge.

Here is what I have so far:

Since we've been desperately waiting  for spring around here, I feel like I want to have a few spring pictures around.  (Somewhere in the back of my mind, I have this illusion that I may actually exchange these pictures with the seasons, but we all know that there is no way that something like that would actually happen in my life.  Let me dream anyway...)

So, here are the "spring" pictures I am looking at.  The question is, if any of them are worth blowing up for my "spring time collection"? My personal favorites are a little larger than the rest.

What do you think?  Your input is very much appreciated.

  3. Hey Stephanie! Sorry I'm so slow commenting, been taking a break for a little while. I agree with Lauri and like the 3rd white flowers. I also like the fourth one from the bottom, the pink flowers growing out of the tree. Beautiful pictures! I like your idea about decorating your house with your won photos!

  4. Thanks for your input, Laura. I hope that all's well in your life. Don't let the stress get you!

In the meantime, I have actually enlarged the pink dogwood flowers since those are the ones my daughter likes. However, I still like the white ones, too - and I may just have to find a spot for them.

By the way, the pink flowers on the bottom are from a Redbud tree. I never knew that they came straight from the trunk until I took these pictures.
